Surprisingly I don’t get much spam/ junk mail/ phishing attempts sent to me, and I have only had three Nigerian Princes get in touch (apparently they have a very large royal family). Normally I just ignore these emails but this one was different. If you’re like me you have loads of passwords for anything and everything on the Internet. I have recently taken to making my passwords totally random combinations of letters and numbers. This makes remembering them next to impossible, which means there is now a text file full of passwords sitting on my desktop. Not the perfect situation to be in.

Enter KeePass - a very nice application for storing usernames and passwords. You have a single master password per database which means only you can open your own passwords (ideal for users on a network/ a computer with more than one user. It has a search system so if, like me, you have a lot of accounts you can find what you are looking for nice and quickly. What’s more, like all good things, it’s free - which makes it very very good.

A few changes

I wanted to do a bit more this weekend but I have only had a small amount of time to play with the site.

The main new feature is the search engine. Not much use now but in the future when I have a decent amount of posts someone might find it handy. I’m not entirely happy with the colours but those can be played with later.

I have also added links to my games in the sidebar. I will be adding a projects section to the site which will hold all of the games I have worked on (including the older, free ones) but for now these will have to do.

The very short post yesterday has given me a couple of ideas about another feature to add.

With this post the very first post on the site will be pushed off the bottom of the home page. I guess that means …
