Batman Begins Trailer

May 13, 2005 | Links

Batman Begins Looks like Batman is back on form. Batman Begins looks stunning - I can’t wait.

The Tim Burton Batman films were great, but since then they have been getting worse and worse. I loved Memento so was very interested to see what Christopher Nolan would do with this.

New Video Games

May 12, 2005 | Video Games

I enjoy both playing, and developing video games. Recently I have bought a number of new games but not been able to play them for one reason or another.

Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory

I bought Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory about three weeks ago. I hurried home after buying it to have a play and what did I find? None of my memory cards were big enough to save the game. I have a GameCube and a standard 4 meg memory card wasn’t big enough to save a game play. This meant I had to wait until I bought a larger card so that I could play the game properly. I now have a 128 meg card, which had better be big enough to save everything. However the game still hasn’t been played. Something else got in the way…

Ico

Ico has been on my list of games to play for years. …

Google Web Accelerator Withdrawn

May 11, 2005 | General

Thank you for your interest in Google Web Accelerator. We have currently reached our
maximum capacity of users and are actively working to increase the number of users we can support.

The Google Web Accelerator has been withdrawn. Their ‘official reason’ is above, but I think it roughly translates to - ‘We screwed up’.

It’s most likely because of the problems mentioned previously - the problem has been better explained elsewhere

I would recommend everyone uninstalls it at least until they make it available for download again - hopefully having rectified their mistakes.

EggRadio

I’ve had enough of my bosses choice of music, there are only so many times you can listen to the Baywatch theme tune… and don’t get me started on Goldie Looking Chain. So, at the weekend, I invested in a pair of head phones and I now listen to Internet radio all day. My station of choice… Egg Radio

There are no dj’s (at least none I have heard) and they just play music all day. The music is a very eclectic mix - but it’s all good. From their about page

If you listened to “alternative” music when there really was such a thing, then you’ve come to the right place. The Cure, Morrissey, The B-52s, They Might Be Giants, Dinosaur Jr, XTC and Depeche Mode were bands that the weird kids listened to. Were you a weird kid?

So were we.

But just because we …

Google Web Accelerator

Google Web Accelerator - [via Google Blog]

Google have just released a web accelerator. A way to speed up your web browsing. As normal with Google it’s in beta but it sounds quite full featured.

Wearing my cynical hat I would argue that it’s just a way for Google to track how people browse the web and what they are looking for. It’s another step in their bid to control our lives. However they have released a Firefox version so it was inevitable that I would try it.

During the installation my suspicions were confirmed when I had to check a box that says

I have read the above text and I understand that personally identifiable information about me may be sent to Google while using the Google …
