Macromedia have released a beta of Flash Player 8.

Not sure what difference we will see between this and flash 7 until 8ball is released. Fingers crossed things have speeded up a bit.

Prince of Persia 3 screenshots

July 11, 2005 | Video Games

I’m a big fan of Ubisofts Prince of Persia series. In particular the first game, the second game was too long and overly complicated. I hit the wall at what I thought was the final boss and, I believe, turned out to be just a half way boss battle. Hopefully the third (and final?) game in the series will be a little easier and a little shorter.

Game Trailers.com have a whole bunch of Prince of Persia trailers and game footage and you can see a few screen shots at Eurogamer.net.

ICE - In Case of Emergency

I got an email from Georgiana today telling me about a very good idea thought up by a Cambridge based paramedic.

Bob Brotchie, a clinical team leader for the East Anglian Ambulance NHS Trust, hatched the plan last year after struggling to get contact details from shocked or injured patients.

This is such a simple idea and is so easy to implement you would be stupid not to take two minutes to add an entry to your mobile. As soon as I publish this I will be adding mine.

David Hasselhoff Photos

I keep getting hits for people searching for David Hasselhoff emails, but I don’t actually know anything about them. So, to try and find out more, I’ve been hitting Google. It’s awkward because I don’t know what I’m looking for but I did find a few interesting things.

BTW Notice there is now a David Hasselhoff links sub category.

Life goes on

I’m back at work today, I wasn’t expecting the trains/ underground to be running but everything that could work was. In general things are relatively normal, the train and tube were a lot quieter than normal but that doesn’t really surprise me.

The response to the blasts during the day was very good. The emergency services were incredibly coordinated and, considering the disruption something like this should have caused, everything went very smoothly. The news spread amazingly fast (primarily because of the Internet), and a number of friends and colleagues from other countries contacted me throughout the day to check everyone was ok, which was really appreciated.

I was going to hold off posting anything for a few days but have decided it should be business as usual, if we all stopped every time a bomb goes off then nothing would ever happen. I think the best thing to do is to …
