E3 2006 hi-lights

This was definitely Nintendo’s year at E3. They wiped the floor with everyone, having the most compelling games and most innovative hardware.
I’ve already done a very brief summary of the 3 big conferences over at the 9rules blog but I thought that I would pick out my personal favourites from the show.
Wii
The obvious attraction (based on my past posts) was the new Zelda.
Wow!
I think it looks great and am considering buying the Wii on launch day (or at least very soon after launch) just for the new Zelda game.
Of course Zelda wasn’t the only game they showed for the Wii. The new Mario game, Super Mario Galaxy, looks intriguing - but I’m not entirely convinced just yet. That said every single one of the official Nintendo Wii games looks like it will be good fun. Also you should note that a lot of them aren’t in the slightest bit ‘kiddy’ - an image Nintendo has had for a very long time.
DS
The Nintendo DS wasn’t left out either. I’ve been looking forward to the New Super Mario game on the DS for a while now but now there are other games to look forward too.
Highlights include:
- The Legend of Zelda: The Phantom Hour Glass (yes - another Zelda game - but they rock ok?)
- Star Fox DS
- Yoshis Island 2
- Kirby DS - yeah he’s a pink blob - but the games are cool
All in all I am very happy - and suspect that, by the end of the year, I will be very poor.

Hey Ben! I just realised you are the guy who created the Wordpress Theme I am using over on Seb’s Random Thoughts! That is so cool! Sorry for that little outburst there. it is a very nice theme though.
I was looking for a Britblog logo on your site to see if you were a member, thought you might want to be if your not, don’t get me wrong, I am not advertising em or anything, just think what they are doing is cool.
I saw your blog address in the referals for my blog a day ago, before I posted here… what brought you to Random Thoughts?

Sebastian - I did indeed create Regulus. That’s the reason I visited your blog. Wordpress gives me a list of all the sites that link to me (notice the little link in the footer) and I visit them all to see how people use my themes, and what they say about me.
I’ vejust looked up the brit blog thing. Never heard about it before but I think I will sign up. Could be fun

i am not a big fan of Nintendo. But, the new controller and (perhaps) new method of playing game is make me to wanna buy Wii

NINTENDO! YEAH! I KNOW PEOPLE AT NINTENDO! LIKE REAL ACTUAL PEOPLE IN PERSON. AND I CAN GET IN TO NINTENDO AS WELL.
I personally love regalus and I LOVE STARFOX.
Seeing it confirmed has made me happy..

Glad you have decided to check out BritBlog. It certainly is worth the time! How is mypresentation with your theme over at Seb’s Random Thoughts?
I really like what you have here, which seems to be very similar to the theme you made for Wordpress, Regulus.
Would be great to have a comment from the theme creator over there!
