“Advertising” - The Million Dollar Homepage for real

Design Asides is reporting on a new advertising campaign in Holland simply called “Advertising”.
The Sandberg Institute in Amsterdam is emulating the Million Dollar Homepage on a grander scale and selling off “pixels” on their façade. Called Artvertising, the project has already attracted the likes of Nike and Philips.

Local regulations aside, it’s a good idea from a marketing point of view. I’d be interested in the measurement of the referrals from this form of advertising though. It can’t be cheap!!!
