Ars Technica have reported that Eudora (a once popular, mainly with Mac users, email client) will be going open source and basing it's next version on the wonderful Mozilla Thunderbird.
I wouldn't normally post about this sort of thing but I know a couple of people who are die hard Eudora users, who hate Thunderbird more than anything.

At MIT there's licensing for Eudora and for Outlook, but the Eudora contract is up. It's nice that they'll still be able to use it if they want, as many that I know hate Outlook and haven't been interested enough to try Thunderbird.
