Coverpop - Pink for October

October 11, 2006 | Links

To continue the Pink for October theme - A Coverpop has been created to celebrate the sites that have gone pink this month.

A Coverpop is a photo mosaic using pictures of covers of stuff (books, websites etc). Cool stuff I think.

BTW I’m 5 down form the top, 4 in from the left. List yourself if you’re there :)

Top 10 Sony lies

October 4, 2006 | Video Games

I am a Nintendo fan boy, but even those who aren’t must have noticed how well Nintendo has been doing recently. They can’t seem to put a foot wrong. Sony, on the other hand, just keep messing up.

Jason Thompson (Midwestern geek) has put together a list of the top 10 lies Sony have told relating to the PS3. This isn’t a fan boy thing either, all the lies are sourced so you can see them for yourself.

Binary Joy - gaming news and reviews website

| Web Design, Video Games

Binary Joy is a website dedicated to video games, but not just any games. Good games. Games you enjoy. We will feature any game, as long as the person doing the writing enjoys what they are playing. This means that you will only find games that we think are worth playing.

As I mentioned a month or so ago I have been rather quiet on Binary Moon recently. I now think I am ready to reveal the reason behind the silence. The reason is that I have been working on, and released, a new blog called Binary Joy.

Binary Joy is a gaming news and reviews site. Somewhere I can post about the games I enjoy. I hope to eventually turn Binary Joy into a gaming community with people posting their own news and reviews - but that sort of thing is some way off.

Google Page Rank changes - I’m on the up!

October 3, 2006 | Links

Google have recently completed (are currently updating) their latest round of page rank updates. Matt Cutts, a Google employee, has posted a few answers to commonly asked questions related to page rank. Also I have found out that my page ranks are working their way up.

If the page ranks I have listed aren’t showing then you can verify them on the future page rank tool. They should all settle in the coming days.

Pink for October

October 1, 2006 | General

Breast cancer is a cancer of breast tissue. Worldwide, it is the most common form of cancer in females, affecting approximately one out of nine to thirteen women who reach age ninety at some stage of their life in the Western world. It is (after lung cancer) the second most fatal cancer in women, and the number of cases has significantly increased since the 1970s, a phenomenon partly blamed on modern lifestyles in the Western world.

From Wikipedia

Regular readers of my blog will have noticed the minor colour change to this site. Everyone else will think I’m a girl.

October is breast cancer awareness month so Binary Moon has turned Pink For October.
