ReviewMe Launches
November 10, 2006 | Paid Reviews, Links
ReviewMe is a new site from the people who created Text Links Ads (I’ll be posting about them soon as well).
To coincide with the launch ReviewMe are giving away $25000 worth of reviews for their own site. I will be earning $50 simply by writing this post.
There are a couple of restrictions to the reviewing.
- Minimum of 200 words - not really a problem if you’re going to write something worthwhile
- You have to declare the post is a review - this post is a review
I’m not sure how I am supposed to write a review of their service considering I have only been using it for half an hour but so far it seems pretty good.
Registration is painless and adding a new site is quick and easy. You get given a ranking and a price per review (calculated from Technorati and Alexa). Each review I write costs the company I am reviewing $100 of which I make 50% - which isn’t too bad. If your site is more popular than mine then you can earn up to $200 per review.
The problem is that I feel a bit dirty doing this. I have no intention of turning Binary Moon into a review site and will only ever review things that I feel are worthwhile. Whether I review anything else via ReviewMe remains to be seen, but they appear to be off to a pretty good start.
