Video Games are good for the brain

December 27, 2006 | Video Games

Just spotted a report mentioned on Yahoo! stating that video games may be good for the brain.

The idea that video games exercise your brain is, I would have thought, obvious but it’s nice to see there is research that confirms my thoughts.

Despite claiming to be an avid gamer there was also this quote from the researcher…

He suggested that somewhere down the road, video games might be tailored to help the elderly keep their minds sharp.

Which seems a little strange considering the massive amount of publicity the Brain Training games have garnered in recent months.

Anyway - I mustn’t complain - I’m just happy that something positive is being said about games, as opposed to the ridiculous news that video games are now being blamed for how people drive! FWIW The suggestion that 15 is too young to drive is something I would look at changing first, personally I think the uk age limit, of 17, is more than adequate.
