Ratatouille Panoramic images

I’m going to the Ratatouille press screening today. Expect a review some time early next week (am away all weekend so can’t post straight away). To tide you over I found these Ratatouille panoramic images (via Drawn) and had to mention them.

When I was at University I had to create some Quicktime VR movies for one of my modules. Unfortunately they were nowhere near as nice as these ones, but then I guess that’s why I’m not Pixar. They even have some voice overs of the rat on top of the clips.
I love the richness of the images, the tiny little details and the wonderful lighting. Pixar films look nicer and nicer every time (watch Toy Story and see how primitive it seems now). I’m looking forward to seeing the film this evening.

Very nice. The bronze shine/reflection on the bronze is just so realistic and the light/shadows just perfect.
Let us know what it’s like

It is. I’m in awe of the people who do this sort of thing. Having done a small amount of it myself makes this even more impressive as I know (or at least can guess) the amount of time, effort, and skill it would require.
I’ll definitely be writing a review

That’s very impressive. I still remember watching the opening of Toy Story 2 with my boy on the big screen equipped with 5.1Ch sound system. We really felt like flying through the space to a unknown planet as Buzz Lightyear does. I’m not in awe as you are, though. I agree that at least this makes Toy Stories primitive.
