Learning to Learn: how to improve yourself
I have a massive appetite for learning. I am always reading books and blogs to try to better understand the things I want to do. Design, programming, marketing, copy-writing, I constantly strive to improve.
On the web your skill set needs to evolve constantly. Things change at a massive pace. New technologies are constantly being introduced and to compete you have to learn.
The best way to do this ...Binary Moon WordPress design vIII
As I briefly mentioned on Monday, I have finally redesigned Binary Moon.
I actually started redesigning about 2 years ago. Initially it was going to be an update rather than a totally new look, and I even built most of it, but I just wasn't entirely happy.
Then last year I started building what would become my soon to be released framework, Elemental, and the logical progression from that was to use it as the base for the site you see ...
WordPress 2.7 Complete, competition results
At the start of last week I ran a small competition to give away the book WordPress 2.7 Complete that I had reviewed. I had a few entries and, as promised, I have posted below all of the entries. Read on to see what people said, and to find out who has won.

I haven't read any WordPress books before, and have always wondered what they would contain so I was instantly intrigued when I was contacted by someone from Packt publishing asking if I wanted to review a new WordPress book.
WordPress 2.7 Complete is squarely targeted at the new WordPress user. The chapters actually cover quite a broad range of topics, including everything from the initial ...
Doritos, an advergaming case study
Working at Miniclip.com I have seen many online advergames so have a pretty good idea of what is good and what is bad, both from an advertisers perspective and from a gamers.
Many brands create very simple, not very enjoyable games, that push their product or logo down the gamers throat at every opportunity, ignoring the gameplay thinking that people seeing their brand in a game is enough. However having a bad game chock full of logos will damage your ...
Duplicity : an iTunes movie review
As I mentioned on Twitter recently I have been sent an iPod Touch loaded with some movies to review. The films are by NBC Universal and the iPod is etched with their logo making a very cool gift to mark their entry into the iTunes store.
Another plus is the films I chose to review were also quite enjoyable so I don't have to sugar coat anything
It's rather nice being able to watch films again, I used to ...
