WordPress 2.7 Complete, competition results

wordpress 27 completeAt the start of last week I ran a small competition to give away the book WordPress 2.7 Complete that I had reviewed. I had a few entries and, as promised, I have posted below all of the entries. Read on to see what people said, and to find out who has won.

Entries

  • Travis Vocino - I should get the WP 2.7 book because being just slightly behind is just my style
  • Mark I have a hat of baby names I’m considering for my firstborn (due Feb 23rd). Some of the names in said hat include: WordPress, Word, Word Preston, and …PHP.
  • Heather St. Marie I could really use this book seeing as how I am more familiar with my Garlic Press than I am with WordPress…
  • Kai Brach WordPress 2.7 complete book - the geek's bible with the happy ending
  • Michael Willits WordPress 2.7 Complete: For those who when little, read the instructions before building their Legos
  • Kelter Ben's @BinaryMoon has WordPress Book Competition that I will not win :) #wordpress #bmCompo -- Or will I?
  • daBuzzd @BinaryMoon #bmCompo To produce a e-Newsletter, I have 2 options - learn WP on my own, or get the book. Your call!
  • jellybeen (ominous voice over -> ON) I compel you! (j/k) Good luck with the contest
  • Alex Denning I feel just a tad stupid doing this, but here goes; I should win because: I'm English so the postage would be cheaper. I'd also quite like to give it a read, but that's beside the point.
  • Michael - well, i presently finding pressing words quite hard work. right now, with a light squeeze the best i can get from my WordPress is "swords rep" :-( . But add in a "Binary Moon" and the world is my oyster :-) . Contemplate...
"Inbred morons spy a row" or "sorry minnows! bad rope" or "prisons worry abdomen"
See... so much better! save my abdomen, give me rope, let no moron spy me in a row.......

And the winner is...

I asked my girlfriend to chose the winner for me as I couldn't decide, and she opted for Michaels rather deep and meaningful (less?):

Congratualtions Michael - I will be emailing you to get your address to send the book to you.

Drat. I lost. Congrats Michael! Of course I think there should be a "recount" because you said YOU'D pick the winner - not let your girlfriend pick for you... :)

    ps - love the redesign!

ha haa - that's true, I did say that :S On the plus side, based upon your website, it looks like you know your stuff already! :)

I plan to have more competitions in the future so perhaps you could try your hand at one of those?
