Upcoming WordPress updates
Lorelle has posted about Wordcamp and the future of WordPress and there are a few things that caught me eye.
While little has been done to improve installation, upgrades, and WordPress Plugin updates, those are a priority for the WordPress development team.Excellent. I'd love some sort of built in upgrade system. Upgrading WordPress is generally quite easy but having 3 sites that use it means that the updates take longer and longer. A new cache proxy called WPCP is coming ...
Ratatouille Panoramic images
I'm going to the Ratatouille press screening today. Expect a review some time early next week (am away all weekend so can't post straight away). To tide you over I found these Ratatouille panoramic images (via Drawn) and had to mention them.
When I was at University I had to create some Quicktime VR movies for one of my modules. Unfortunately they were nowhere near as nice as these ones, but then I guess that's ...
Hydra – make your own video games console
This is so cool - a computer geeks wet dream. It's a kit, that let's you build your own games console, and then program the games on it.
It comes with a bunch of peripherals and tutorials so even the novices can get going quickly, provided you're that way inclined. No doubt the games won't be the best - there'll be no HALO beaters here, but who cares? They're your games.
I am really tempted ...
Starwars + Millenium Falcon + Lego = Great!
Found this on Wired.coms geekdad blog. The geekdad bog is a blog for Dad's who are geeks, and want to keep the geekiness in the family. As someone who is not yet a dad I find the blog very cool anyway... apart from the design (what happened to Doug Bowmans wonderful design?). Anyway, it's Star Wars, Lego, and animation all rolled into one - and that equals great in my book.
Legend of Zelda Symphony
My love of Zelda extends to the music.I do actually have a Zelda album on CD. I got it on the cover of a magazine a couple of years ago, but this music is wonderful. Hearing the overland theme is so stirring it's indescribable.
I've watched this at least 10 times now. Wonderful!
Ratatouille videos and preview
I mentioned Ratatouille, the new Pixar movie, a month or two ago and I'm still looking forward to it coming out. I fact I got an email from someone recently inviting me to a press screening of the movie so it looks like I may get to see it early... yay for me
I figured I'd look Ratatouille up and see what there is about it online and it turns out there is a YouTube user, clearly set up ...
Wooden, Binary calculator
I bought a binary clock once because I thought it was cool. I got it from Think Geek for about $15, but little did I realise that the tax that I would have to pay would double the price. A friend at work also bought one, and we set his up in the office. First we had to get an American to English plug adaptor, and then we used it... and it started smoking and then stopped working. I didn't ...
Your online neighbourhood
Was aimlessly browsing today and stumbled upon this interesting post from blog-op.com - check out your neighbors.
Basically he mentions a website called myIPneighbours.com where you can find out the websites that are running off of the same shared server that you run on.
In the interest of sharing some link love, and helping out the others in my neighborhood, my IP neighbors are linked below.
